Double coating and double baking technology

Roller coating is one of the common processing methods for color-coated steel coils in the color coating line, and it is also the most popular processing technology. First, the color-coated coils are cleaned and pre-treated, and then the liquid coating is applied to the surface of the color-coated coils using a roller coater, and then sent to the curing oven for heating, baking, and curing. After curing, the next process is hardening, cooling, and hot air drying. The whole process is roller coating. Double coating and double drying are the most commonly used roller coating processes for color-coated coils in the coating line.

Drying technology

The convection ovens of our coil coating line adopt modular and compact design, uniform heating and cooling performance, high efficiency, and environmental protection. All of these require an ideal setting and control of process parameters.

The process starts with the heating furnace, where the strip is evenly heated. This allows the energy consumption of each heating furnace area to be controlled separately. The entire airflow is aerodynamically designed to achieve 50% efficiency based on a uniform flow pattern. A large amount of air circulates in the heating furnace at a temperature between 300 and 400°C and heats the strip to the required maximum temperature.
